Excursions for the non-golfers

Some of the excursions available for you to choose or any other idea’s requests can be arranged for you. (website links have information in English.)

Keukenhof and Lakes and Windmills tour by boat This excursion includes a 2 hour canal boat cruise, seeing some of the most beautiful Dutch scenery, then a visit to the world famous Keukenhof gardens. www.keukenhof.nl (subject to Keukenhof opening times)

Elburg and boat tripA visit to this well preserved historic town, it is one of the most original kept fortified towns of the Netherlands, it has shops and plenty of lovely café’s and restaurants, and a lovely harbour to sit, have a drink and relax. A boat trip will also be arranged for you. www.elburg.nl

Harderwijk and boat trip A lovely town situated on the edge of the Veluwemeer (lake) which was the former Zuiderzee, (south sea) it is a lively place, great for shopping and endless café’s and restaurants, it has 3 marina’s and a wonderful boulevard. A boat trip will also be arranged for you.

Apeldoorn and Het Loo Palace The city of Apeldoorn is a shoppers paradise and a most beautiful location. You will have time for shopping or sitting relaxing in one of the many restaurants, bars or café’s. Later in the day we will do the short drive to Het Loo Palace, originally the hunting lodge for William of Orange, and now a beautiful Palace, full of treasures of the Dutch Royal Family. It also famous for its spectacular gardens. www.paleishetloo.nl

Giethoorn and an Orchid farmGiethoorn is described as the Venice of Holland, the streets are water and found on the banks are some of the most beautiful houses. After this we will make our way to the Orchid farm, a wonderful indoor display of Orchids, set up in various tropical gardens, with ornate ponds. There is also a lovely restaurant and even a shop. www.orchideeenhoeve.nl
